Ltd., Public Health Concern Trust Nepal (Phect-Nepal), Nepal Disaster and Emergency Medicine Center (NADEM), Innovative Data Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Center for Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), and i-Click Pvt. Ltd. launched the COVID-19 Surveillance System. The aim of the system is to utilize Information and Technology to control the spread of COVID-19 cases across the country and provide health services effectively.

The users can download the mobile app and make triage self-assessment. It is an option for any individual whether to register to the system or not. The COVID-19 Surveillance System team suggests registering all individuals who have symptoms similar to COVID-19 and (or in close contact with) the person who arrived from abroad recently. The system first assesses the possibility of COVID-19 infection and then makes the preliminary suggestion through the mobile app. However, upon registration, the medical team who are available 24/7 will contact analyzing the comments and the triage self-assessment made by the individuals.
